31 THEFTS CHARGES VACUUM CLEANERS (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Described as an ace salesman in the Dominion for a firm of vacuum cleaners, James David Bell, a married man, pleaded guilty before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., to 31 charges of theft of vacuum cleaners. On one charge the accused was sentenced to reformative detention for a year. On the remaining counts, he was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months.
