HEAVY CASUALTIES

R.A.F. SALVAGE VESSEL MINED AT SINGAPORE (Reed. April 3, 2.30 p.m.) SINGAPORE, April 7. Twenty-two men were killed and 20 injured in the Royal Air Force salvage ship Buffalo which, while going out to salvage a Blenheim bomber, struck a mine and sank immediately. The Blenheim had crashed in a minefield. The pilot was killed.
