TRAIN WRECKED

PITTSBURGH EXPRESS FOUR KILLED; 108 INJURED EVIDENCE OF SABOTAGE LOOSENING OF RAILS (Reed. March 18, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 17. A message from Baden, Pennsylvania, says that_ definite evidence of sabotage was found after the Cleveland to Pittsburgh passenger train was wrecked, killing four persons and injuring 108, of whom 69 are seriously hurt. Railroad officials said that someone familiar with the block signal system loosened the rails without breaking the electric signal circuit, which would have halted the train. Travelling at 65 miles an hour, the train struck the loosened rail and plunged over a 40ft. embankment.
