CHANGING OF DOLLARS

NEW ZEALAND CURRENCY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. In spite of the fact that the American dollar is worth 6s in Auckland, a number of cases were disclosed where some of the visiting American sailors were given as low as 4s for their money for silver dollars. Rates were given between 5s and 6s. A representative of the Bank of New Zealand travelled to-day on the special train to Rotorua to change the visitors' money into New Zealand currency. Representatives of the bank were also in attendance at both wharves to change dollars into New Zealand currency at the official r-aje of exchange.
