INCREASE IN CROPS
CORN AND BARLEY APPEAL IN CANADA (Reed. March 7, 2.20 p.m.) WINNIPEG, March 6. The grain research committee after a three-day conference has recommended western Canadian farmers to increase the corn, flax and barley crops as a substitute for wheat. An increase of 35,000.000 bushels in barley production will be required to feed the increased hog production needed for bacon for Britain,
