DOMINION DONATIONS

TOTAL £156,776 SENT (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The total sum sent to London, in connection with last year's campaign to raise funds for financing the purchase of defence aeroplanes in Britain amounted to £156,776, said the Minister of Finance, the lion. W. Nash, yesterday. “This sum has been made up of several parts which have be*en sent as ,Uie money came forward,” continued .Mr. Nash. “For example, by the third week in October, £IOO,OOO in New Zealand currency had been remitted tii England. By the third week in December another £45.615 was sent and finally to-day the balance of £11,160 has been forwarded. “That completes the contribution made by New Zealanders to what we have known as the Spitfire fund.”
