ANNUAL COMPETITION FIVE TEAMS TAKE PART The annual competition for the senior and intermediate pairs was held by the Gisborne and East Coast Bowling Centre last week-end. The games were played on the Gisborne club's greens. Five teams competed in the senior event, one each from Kahutia, Poverty Bay, Gisborne, Tolcomaru Bay and Tolaga Bay. In the intermediate event there were also five teams, Kahutia, Poverty Bay, Gisborne, Tolaga Bay and Te Karaka. In the final stage of the intermediate pairs Gisborne, 26, beat Kahutia, 11. In the senior pairs the final will be played next week-end. Results: — Senior Pairs First Round. —Kahutia (S. Gooch and R. B. Watt) 8 v. Poverty Bay (A. Slight arid SI McKenzie) 25; Gisborne (I.
