AIR CRASH VICTIM
CANADIAN SURGEON ONE MAN RESCUED (Reed. Feb. 25, 2.15 p.m.) OTTAWA, Feb. 24. The Canadian Minister of Munitions, Mr. C. D. Howe, stated to-day that the Canadian surgeon, Sir Frederick Banting and two companions were killed in the crash of a military plane which was located in a bay between Canada and Newfoundland. A fourth member of the party was alive, having been rescued by two trappers.
