Conditions were ideal for galloping on the Flemington inside grass yesterday) Telergy reeled off an impressive 12 furlongs in 2.43. Reading, looking improved as a result'of Saturday’s race, went six furlongs in 1.16 J. i Damocles and Lord Walla together covered six furlongs in 1.17. Nightbeam went five furlongs in 1.4 and moved well. Dashing Cavalier ran easy over a mile in 1.57. Work at Caulfield was on the course proper with flags 30ft. out. The track was dead. Mildura went seven furlongs in 1.29 J, the first four furlongs taking 49seconds. He moved well. High Caste galloped five furlongs in 1.3. He never looked better. Phoincs sprinted five furlongs in 1.2:}, the first, four taking 481. Wilson and Pandect were together over a mile covered in 1.46. Whisper Low galloped five furlongs in 1.3.1 • Apostrophe covered 10 furlongs in 2.19 without being extended. Tidal Wave moved freely over 10 furlongs easily in 2.25. Gold Salute, looking well, covered three furlongs in 37J. Final acceptors for the Newmarket Handicap are:’ High Caste, Gold Salute, Mfidrira, Zonda, Remarc, Industry, All Veil, Scarlet Trii, Operatic, Queen Baacha, Orcadian, Phoincs. Diogenes,’ Spearwings, Kerfils.
