INTERNED BRITONS NAZI-OCCUPIED FRANCE PLANS FOR ASSISTANCE AGENCY OF AMERICA (Efp.c. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.50 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 20. Answering a question in the House of Commons, the Foreign Under-Secre-tary, Mr. R. A. Butler, said that official information had been received that all British subjects, including those from the Bordeaux and Nantes districts and from Dinan, who were interned in occupied France are concentrated at three localities. Many of the British subjects who were interned had now been released. “In general they fall into categories of children up to 16 years of age, women over 60 and alleged elderly men,” said Mr. Butler. “There are now no restrictions as to where those who are released may live, with the exception of certain coastal areas. “The majority of the persons released have returned to their former homes.
“Arrangements have now been made to provide internees in France with small sums of money to purchase necessities and the United Sfates authorities have been authorised' to incur expenditure on clothing "and medical supplies.”
