ANTIPATHY TO LAVAL U.S. DIPLOMAT ATTACKED DARLAN’S PARIS TALKS (Reed. Feb. 21, 9 a.m.) PARIS, Feb. 20. The Vice-Premier in the Vichy Government, Admiral Darlan, again conferred with M. Debrinon, the Vichy Government’s representative, and other French and German officials. The Paris radio named the American Ambassador to Vichy, Admiral W. D. Leahy, as one of those who were encouraging the opponents of M. Lava. 1 and also denounced “people near and even in the Government, all of whom are creatures maintained on our soil hv Britain. Adnvral Dar'-ri w' l ’ doubtless seek advice from M. Laval before it is too late,” the announcer added. The German news agency forecasts further Cabinet changes at Vichy.
