LARGER WOOL DUMPS

SAVING SPACE IN SHIPS PLAN IMPRACTICABLE (Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Fanners’ Union has suggested that shipping space could be saved by increasing the present limit to 7001'o for wool dumps. The Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, replying, said the suggestion had already been considered by the Department of Agriculture. The department took up the matter with the controlling wool appraiser, the president of the Federation of Labour, and the secretary of the Shipowners’ Allotment Committee. All considered the proposal to be impracticable.
