BROTHER TO SERENATA

During an interval between races each day at Woodville, Mr. W. H. Gaisford’s colt, brother to Serenata and Russian Ballet, was sprinted down the straight. The colt, who has been named Nightward, is by Nightmare!) from the Limond mare Praise, and in looks, conformation and action, he is a typical Limond. Praise, of course, is sister to Commendation, one of the greatest horses ever sired by Limond, and with whom Mr. Gaisford won so many good races. No doubt this was .what inspired the purchase of Nightward, who cost 025gns at the last national sales.
