R.A.F. RAIDS VALONA

TWO VISITS IN DAY EFFECTIVE BOMBING (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 11 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 15. The Albanian port of Valona was twice raided by the Royal Air Force yesterday, it was announced from the headquarters of the British air forces in Greece. In the first attack, bombs fell among military stores and a motor transport park. A column of black smoke was seen to rise from the motor transport concentration and although clouds prevented full observation an army barracks was also seen to be hit. In the second attack, the aerodrome was bombed, all tbe bombs falling in the target area. An enemy aircraft which was taking off spun round on its wing tip and was stopped. From all the operations all the British aircraft returned safely.
