VON PAPEN DENIAL
PRESSURE ON TURKEY ALLEGED INTIMATION (Reed. Nov. 26, 9 a.m.) ANKARA, Nov. 25. The German Ambassador to Turkey, Herr von Papen yesterday denied a Gentian radio and news agency assertion that he had declared that Italy and Germany would subject Turkey to the new order, but respect Turkish independence. “Such a statement would be contrary to all diplomatic usage,” he declared.
