GOOD MARKSMANSHIP
GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB SHORT-RANGE MATCH Shooting on the Mangapapa range on Saturday, members of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club registered some good scoring, at 200yds. and 300yds.. in a short-range match. Top ol' flic list was W. J. Burton, a scratch rrian. who registered the possible at 200yds., and dropped only one shot off the bull at 300yds.. making 69 off the rifle. F. J. Jeune scored a 33 at 200yds. and 34 at 300yds., being runned-up to Burton with 67. R. Bull another scratch man, put on the maximum at the shorter range, but had an unaccountable failure at 300yds.. where he made only 19. Details were:—W. J.
