The Rev. F. ,T. Green, M.A.. a former All Black footballer, is to be ordained by the Timaru presbytery as a chaplain to the forces. Mr. G. Jackson, managing director of the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, has been elected president of the Wellington Manufacturers’ Association. Flight-Lieutenant M. V. Blake, a son ot Mr. C. M. Blake, headmaster of the Heathcote School, Christchurch, has been made a controller of operations, with the rank of squadron leader. Recently he did. nine months’ relieving work in the Coastal Command, and then a few months as chief instructor at an advanced training school of pilots in Britain.
