ROADS IN BRITAIN NIGHT TOLL HEAVIER (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 25. Road accidents in. Britain have risen although there are fewer cars on the road, says the Minister of Transport, Lieutenant-Colonel MooreBrabazon. The total number of persons killed during October was 1012 compared with 920 in the same month last year. During the. hours of darkness the deaths were 501 against 566 in October, 1939, but during other hours the fatalities were 511 against 354, including 107 pedestrians under 15 years against 64.
