< CRASH OF BOMBER FOUR MEN SURRENDER (Reed. Oct. 23, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 22. When a German bomber crashed in a south-west country district on Sunday night four members of the crew baled out. Three of them presented themselves at different farmhouses and the other knocked up a woman occupant of a lonely bungalow who directed him to the village. The German was unable to find his way and slept in the shelter of a haystack until the morning, when he surrendered to road workers.
