BOOTH, MACDONALD CO.
WRITING DOWN CAPITAL {Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this clay. Preference shareholders in Booth, Macdonald and Company agreed, at a special meeting yesterday, to the directors proposals, outlined in the annual report, for the writing down of preference capital by 5s a share to 15s. The reduction will be confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting. N.S.W. WOOL CLIP The New South Wales wool clip, as far as it has been handled to date, is one of the least attractive the State has produced for years. Arrivals of wool in Sydney are now beginning to show the decreased yield resulting from the adverse season over most of the pastoral country.
