In a professional boxing contest over 12 rounds last night, Johnny Hutchinson, American negro, 9st. 131 b., outpointed Vic Caltaux, of Auckland, lOst. 51b. The Aucklander was no match for Hutchinson, who won every round. A record attendance of about 2000 people saw the fight.
