MEXICAN OIL SURVEY SCRAP IRON SUPPLY POSSIBILITY OF SALE (Reed. Oct. 17, 9 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, Oct. 15. The Ministry of National Economy has granted five, years’ exploration rights over 250,000 acres of land in the State of Vera Cruz to the Japanesecontrolled Vera Cruzana Petroleum Company. Foreign oil circles say that the region is not considered particularly promising.. It stated that the Ministry, because it is short of cash, might be forced to sell 20,000 tons of scrap iron to Japan.
