PHILIPPINES QUEST FAVOURABLE PROSPECTS (Reed. Oct. 16, 2 p.m.) MANILA, Oct. 15. The President of the Philippines, Don Manuel Quezon, stated he had authorised the expenditure of 500,000 pesos to begin drilling for oil at Cebu and Bqndoc Peninsula. He said that a survey of those areas indicated the chances of finding oil were very favourable.
