SIR FREDERICK WINS ' (Por Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The weather was perfect, the attendance fair and the track fast for the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s races at Wingatui. The jockeys wore black arm bands as a mark of respect to Mr. L. G. Hill, the club’s secretary, who died yesterday. Flags on the course were flown at half-mast. Results: Waikari Hurdles Handicap, of £150; li miles. —1-1 Sir Frederick, 10.11 (Walther), 1; 9-9 Crack o’ Dawn, 9.0 (Shannon), 2; 2-4 Araboa, 11.2 (Leech), 3. All started. Half a length each way. Time, 2.44. Novice Handicap, of £120; 6 fur-longs.—4-4 Leighnor, 7.12 (Anderson), 1; 3-3 Secret Flight, 9.0 (Powell), 2; 2-2 Circular Note, 8.4 (Spratt), 3. All started. Two lengths; a head. Time, 1.15 2-5. Kaikorai Handicap, of ,£150; G fur-longs.—l-1 Royal Lancer, 8.8 (W. F. Ellis) 1; 2-2 Southern Sail, 7.11 (L. J. Ellis) 2; 4-3 Gay Lancer, 8.8 (Spratt) 3. Scr.: Tissue, Prince Flaneur.
