TRAINING OF WOMEN CONDUCTORS ON TRAMS (Pi»r Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A letter suggesting that a group of women be trained to act temporarily as tram conductors in the event of an emergency was received by the Auckland Transport Board from the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. The board decided to express appreciation, but to point out that the time was not appropriate for such action.
