SOVIET AND FINLAND
SECURITY IN BALTIC AGREEMENT SIGNED (Reed. Oct. 14, 9 a.m.) MOSCOW, Oct. 12. A Russian-Finnish agreement was signed yesterday for the demilitarisation of the Aaland Islands. The agreement operates immediately. The preamble states: “Russia and Finland are desirous of strengthening their respective security and peace in the Baltic Sea.” Russia desires the right to maintain a consulate to supervise the observance of the agreement.
