RUN OVER BY TRAIN
MAN’S BODY FOUND (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. Mr. Edward George Wood, aged 52, employed by the Defence Department as a Home Guard, and a resident of Shannon, was found shortly before noon, yesterday near the Linton railway station horribly mutilated as a result of being run over by a train. He leaves a wife and two daughters. It is not known what happened.
