C. C. Dacre, one of the most dashing batsmen the Dominion has produced, has the honour of being among the seven players listed in Wisden as having scored not out hundreds in each innings. Many Auckland enthusiasts will remember his brilliant innings against the Victorian side at Eden Park in 1924-25, when he scored 127 not out and 101 not out. The other players who achieved this distinction were D. R. A, Gehrs (South Australia), C. J. B. Wood (Leicestershire), C. Hollows (Lancashire), H. Parks (Sussex), A. Mitchell (LevesonGower’s XI), and L. B. Fishlock (Surrey) .
