NEW UNITS FORMING

TERRITORIAL DEFENCE COURSE FOR OFFICERS THREE FROM GISBORNE In anticipation of the formation of new territorial units, for purposes of home defence, the Army Department is calling up many reserve officers and those associated with the training of cadet companies at secondary schools. They will be given a special course of instruction at the C.D.5.1., Wellington, and later Will take charge of the formation and training of the additional units. Three Gisborne officers of school cadet companies have been ordered to report to the Wellington wing, C.D.5.1., early next week. They are Captain G. Burns and Lieutenant G. W. Langhorne, of the Gisborne High School staff, and 2nd-Lieutenant J. L. Clarkson, Te Karaka. They will spend two months taking the course. The party will leave Gisborne on Monday, and will report on Tuesday in Wellington.
