WAR ON AGGRESSORS ADDRESS BY GOVERNOR REFERENCE TO SUCCESSOR The Governor-General, Lord Galway, made a valedictory address to Mew Zeland ex-servicemen after presenting the prizes won at the annual folf tournament on the Miramar links, Wellington. “We are going through a very hard ime,” said Lord Galway, “but we are ?oing to face up to' it and stick it, because we know that in time we will let the just peace we all desire. We :ould not live in that intolerable atnosphere created by the aggressor •ulers. Our quarrel is not with the iown-trodden nations, but with the lggressor rulers. It is difficult to for;ee what trend the war will take, or vhat nations may be involved, but ve are determined that these aggressor rulers will be overthrown. “And so it is,” continued his Exeelency, “that we think a great deal of shose who have gone overseas. I am chairman of the National Patriotic 3oard, and we are trying to do all <ve possibly can for the comfort of :he troops. Our policy is comfort vithout extravagance. We also have mr eyes on the rehabilitation ques.ion, so that when the, lads come lome they will be able to settle down o a happy and comfortable existence. “Early next year you will have a plendid new Governor-General,” con:luded\His Excellency. “High up in he Royal Air Force, the new Gover-lor-General will be found a man’s nan, and I am sure you will give him is cordial a welcome as you gave me: I shall always remember the cordial elations we have always had, and I vish you all the best of good fortune.”
