BRITISH PILOTS
SUPERIORITY TO NAZIS TRIBUTES TO SKILL ( British Official Wiri'lcus.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 12. Tributes to the skill and dash of the Royal Air Force pilots are frequently paid in the comment of neutral observers, many of whom ascribe the superiority of the British pilots over their German adversaries not only to better machines but to the greater scope for initiative afforded by the British training system as opposed to the mass-production methods of the Nazi regime. An American expert, Mr. Bromley Head, broadcasting from Boston in refernce to the way in which British airmen are getting the upper hand made a point of the superiority of their training. The magnificent achievement of the Royal Air Force has greatly assisted recruiting in Ulster, and strong detachments of volunteers have crossed to Britain to join this arm of the service, and Belfast reports that there is a considerable waiting list.
