Fighting Plane Fund

With an objective of £SOOO, the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union has been collecting money through provincial branches to purchase a fighter plane for Great Britain. Advice received from Wellington to-day states that the fund is at present £3500 short of the goal and each provincial area has been asked to make every effort to collect contributions before October 4. The amount already collected by the Gisborne division is £336. Further contributions will be received by the provincial secretary. Miss J. Renner.
