KAITARATAHI NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) Another enjoyable euchre party was held recently in aid of the Kaitara;ahi Hall fund. The games were controlled by Mr. J. Lucas, and a dainty supper was served by the ladies. The winners were: —Ladies. —Mrs. L. Croswell, 1; Mrs. W. Young, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. V. Atkins, 1; Mr. A. McLennan. 2. Those present included Mesdames N. Wilton, L. Croswell, W. Young, J. Atkins, J. Lucas, E. Stevens. A. McLennan, and G. Croon. Mrs. L. Robinson was the recent guest of her sister, Mrs. G. Croon. An enjoyable afternoon was held at the residence of Mrs M. Inncs and Miss E. Scott, “The Willows,” on Saturday, to enable the residents to meet Miss’Berge, the representative of the British and Foreign Bible Society. An interesting talk was given by Miss Berge on the work of. the missions. A dainty afternoon tea was served in the dining-room, which was decorafed with mauve lilac and pink rtpes Those present included Mesdames C Scott, M. Innes, V. Atkins, J. Eigg, F. Fletcher, V. Scott, H. Telford, J. Wallace, V. Atkins, C. Breingan, C. Bennett, J. Atkins, W. Ward. O. Scott, F Robinson, Seamons, and D. Cranswick; Misses V. Seamons, H. Shelton, E. Hamilton, and E. Scott.
