“THE SAINT’S DOUBLE TROUBLE”: MYSTERY THRILLER Taken from the pages of some of fiction's most amazing series of crimeadventure melodramas, the Sa.nt, a dashing debonaire, but deadly killer, returns to the screen in the most exciting chapter of his career in “Tno Saint's Double Trouble," which opens at the King’s Theatre to-day. Fourth in the highly popular series of films based on the novels by Leslie Charteris, the drama again presents George Sanders as Simon Templar, known os the' Saint, whose one-man crusade against crime violates the tenets of man-made laws. In addition to portraying the leading role, Sanders is also cast as a dangerous jewel thief who so resembled the lone wolf that he uses the amazing likeness to cloak his ruthless criminal activities. When the Saint is falsely blamed for a murder committed by the gem smuggler, he boldly kidnaps Inspector Fernack, takes him to the scene of the crime and tries lo show him proof that he is innocent. His 'efforts failing, the elusive Saint is obliged to effect an escape with the parting threat that lie will solve the mystery for the police within 48 hours. From this.point the elusive avenger pursues a dangerous trail marked by three killings. He tracks the smuggler leader to his waterfront den, poses as the gem thief himself, but is captured when the criminal foils his scheme. His miraculous escape, the capture of his sweetheart. her thrilling rescue by the Satont, and a legion of other experiences follow in rapid-fire succession.
