BRITISH CASUALTIES
THIRTY-SECOND LIST (Reed. July 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 2G. The thirty-second casualty list issued by the British War Office names 73 officers and 872 other ranks, of whom 17 officers and 47 other ranks are shown as killed, 11 officers and 152 other ranks missing, and 42 officers and 633 other ranks wounded. The list includes Mr. J. R. Cartland, the Conservative member of the House of Commons for King’s Norton, Sir John Pigot-Brown, Sir Edward Bradford, and Second Lieutenant H. P. Attlee, a nephew of the Lord Privy Seal, all of whom were wounded. The Admiralty lists 80 casualties in the destroyer H.M.S. Whirlwind, which on July 8 was reported to have sunk after having been hit by a torpedo. Two officers were wounded, and 57 ratings killed and 21 wounded.
