EXCITING BOXING
WILLIS BEATS CAULTAUX (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day.. Merv Willis, former Queensland lightweight champion, defeated Vic Caultaux, New Zealand welterweight champion, on points in a non-cham-pionship boxing contest of 12 rounds on Saturday night. Willis, 10.9, was lib. heavier than Caultaux The bout was fast and exciting, Willis winning by superior science, especially in defence. Willis scored a knock down in the fi£|h round, but was himself down in the tenth.
