(Herald CorrespoiulriU.)- ■ Last week’s table tennis handicap' tournament played at No. 3 Camp resulted: —Men’s Final. —L. E. Meha, 15 on, defeated Riki Smith, 22 on. Women’s Finals. —Miss Betty Hardy, 3 on, defeated Miss A. M. B. Ker, scr. Mr. T. F. Vlahovich, of No. 4 Camp, is an inmate of the Wairoa Hospital, having received-a broken bone in his foot, the result of an accident at work. At last Thursday’s dance in, the No. 3 Camp Y.M.C.A. the music was supplied by Messrs. C. Chesley and D. Kamau. assisted by Mr. C. W. Corkin. The M.C. was Mr. R. Nathan. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr. J. Hutchison and Miss V. Wairoa. Two hakas given by Maori entertainers proved popular. A hard-working ladies’ committee provided an excellent supper. Mrs. W. Tautau and her small daughter-are staying in Gisborne.
