We could not battle alone against modern Italian forces, but with the Allied support we shall return triumphantly to the homeland.” He is confident of being able to rally thousands of Abyssinians against the Italians. A communique issued at Pretoria states that the South African Air Force conducted offensive operations against (he Italians in Abyssinia yesterday. All the planes returned safely.
