Rotary’s Condolences

To-day's luncheon gathering of the Gisborne Rotary Club was adjourned earlier than usual in order to permit members to attend the funeral of their late fellow-Rotarian, Mr. Thomas Corson, whose death occurred on •Saturday. The president. Mr. I. J. Quigley, paid a tribute to the deceased member, who was one of the foundation Rotarians in Gisborne, and who, the president said, had not only been a colleague but af loved friend of all his fellow members. His place in public affairs had made him one of Gisborne’s leading citizens, and he was one who fulfilled the Rotary motto and principles. The president also referred to the loss suffered by Rotarian Jas. Hutton, through the death of his father, the late Inspector D. D. Hutton.- Votes of condolence were carried in respect of both Mr. Thomas Corson and Inspector Hutton.
