CREDITS FOR ALLIES
AMERICAN SUGGESTION (Reed. June 1, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, May 30. Mr. McNutt, in a speech, said "If by extending credifs to the democracies defeat for their cause may be averted, the future welfare and safety of this country would justify it.” He asserted that it would be ligltimate to buy some Allied possessions in the western hemisphere to prevent hostile Powers from getting a foothold.
