RUN OVER BY TRAIN
MAN’S LEGS AMPUTATED DUNEDIN ACCIDENT (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. While crossing the railway line near the tunnel mouth at Port Chalmers station last evening, Mr. Robert Thomson, aged 63 years, a married man, of Sawyer’s Bay, was run over by a train that was shunting through the tunnel: Both his legs were amputated below the knee and he also suffered head injuries. He was admitted to Dunedin Hospital, and his condition is reported to be very critical. i
