This sum was taken into account in making up yesterday’s progress total, but was not credited in the official list. FUND REACHES £134,000 (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The sick and wounded district fund totalled about £134,000 last night. The district returns are: Auckland, £28,000; Wellington, £31,000; Canterbury, £24,600; Dunedin, £18,000; Gisborne, £1100; Hawke’s Bay, £11,400; Taranaki, £6000; Blenheim, £700; West Coast, £800; Palmerston North, £8000; Wanganui, £3200. Miscellaneous receipts take the figures to about £134,000. POWER BOARD GIFT The Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board to-day authorised a donation of £SO to the sick and wounded fund. The chairman, Mr. F. R. Ball, explained that in accordance with an earlier decision of the board the gift would have to be paid through the Provincial Patriotic Council.
