Why Human Milk is Best

In a talk at the monthly luncheon of the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association, Mr. Justice Ostler related a story which had been , told to him by a doctor in Nyassaland. At. the British settlements in Africa, natives were trained in medicine, and were then sent out to the unenlightened tribes, he said. Examinations were held to fit these natives., for their duties, and at one examination candidates were asked to give three reasons why human milk was better than cow’s milk for babies.
