LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

CONFIDENCE IN ALLIES LOYAL RESOLUTION (Par Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Legislative Council met yesterday afternoon. The Leader, the Hon. D. Wilson, moved a resolution of loyalty and willingness to assist in the war effort. He said he was convinced the Allied cause' would triumph. Great Britain and New Zealand had faced as great odds in the past and had won. The Hon. W. Perry seconded the resolution and said that in the travail ahead the Empire might pass through Ihe shadow of death but would emerge to the light of lasting peace. The council adjourned at 3.43 p.m.
