FACTORIES AND ’DROMES EVANS OF THE BROKE (Reed. May 30, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 29. Admiral Sir Edward Evans will take charge of the local protection of all aeronautical factories and aerodromes. This is the latest development on the home front, where the activity has enormously increased. Admiral Evans, who has had a notable career in the Royal Navy, served with several Antarctic expeditions and following the death of Captain Scott in 1913 returned in command of that company. He was the commander of H.M.S. Broke in 1917 when that ship with H.M.S. Swift engaged and defeated six German destroyers. From 1929 to 1931 he was rear-admiral commanding the Royal Australian li avy
