PROVISION INTENDED BELIEF OF MR. PERRY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. An emphatic statement that the Government intended to introduce legislation enabling the enforcement of conscription was made by the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., the president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, at the annual meeting of the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association last evening.
