TANKS IN PLANES
NEW HITLER WEAPON NEW YORK DISCLOSURE i CONSTRUCTION WORK BLACK FOREST FACTORY (Reed. May 29, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 27. The New York Herald-Tribune is informed that Herr Hitler’s new secret weapon is a fleet of aeroplanes, each of which is capable of carrying a 30-ton tank. The planes have a wing spread of 200 ft. They are equipped with four motors of 1200 horse-power, similar to the Dorniers or the Pan-American Airways’ flying boats. They ai-e constructed as a shell with trap doors. A tank or light artillery can be loaded by means of a hydraulic lift. The informant of the HeraldTribune, a former German who was resident in the vicinity of the Black Forest where the planes were com structed, said that 200 had been completed last September.
