HOUSEWIVES’ PROTEST

A meeting of the New Zealand Housewives' Association was held in the Farmers’ Trading Company board room, Auckland, the president, Mrs. Bartleet, presiding. A motion wr.s passed to the effect that the New Zealand Housewives’ Association' strenuously protested against any further rise in the price of fish, which it considered was ■already too high. In view of its great food value, it was further urged that an open market for fish should be established to ensure that it could be obtained , fresh and at a reasonable price.
