“FIFTH COLUMN" DANGER

■ “Though our men have gone away, danger remains in this country,” said Mr. A. E. Horan, at a reunion of the Taradale branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, referring to “fifth column” activities. “We have already learned something of a new phase of warfare, of what is known as the ‘fifth column.’ We have Judases in our ranks. We have got to see that no treachery occurs in this country while our men are overseas. In stamping out such subversive activities returned men can play a valued part.”
