ROTORUA HOSPITAL

TENURE OF SITE SECURED After negotiations extending over six’ years, during which the Waikato Hospital Board lias agitated for security of tenure in connection with the Pukeora Reserve, the site of the Rotorua Hospital, finality has been reached.

The chairman of the board, Mr. F. Findlay, has received advice from the Minister of Health, the Hon. 11. T. Armstrong, stating that ihe Government had decided that the greater part of the reserve was to be vested in the board in trust as the site of a public hospital, subject to the condition that in the event of the land being no longer required and occupied Air hosp:*.ii purposes it shall immediately cease to be vested in the board and shall revert to its present, status as a public domain and be vested in the Crown. The board's bospita 1 building programme at Rotorua would be put in hand at once.
